LUXURY UPGRADE FOR VINTAGE JEWELLERS

Jack Weir & Sons, curators of exceptional vintage jewellery in Beverly Hills, came to Hooey for a considered luxury upgrade.

The brief: refine and elevate the brand, ensuring it reflected the quality, heritage, and expertise behind every piece, while feeling relevant for a modern, digital-first audience.

What we did

– Brand strategy

– Refined suite of logos

– New colours and typography

– Art deco brand assets

– Photography direction & guidelines

– Tone of voice & copywriting

We always start with defining brand strategy, and it was no different for JW&S, who relished the chance to take time to step back and think about their brand.

With their purpose, vision and mission defined, and audiences understood, we could move into creative.

We crafted a new suite of logos to reflect their heritage, with added elegance, flexibility, and beauty in every curve. This wasn't a wholesale change; the new identity has strong roots to its past.

Beautiful typography comes in the form of 3 fonts that bring vintage appeal fit for today. We also defined the photography direction and added art deco inspired graphic elements.

We refined the palette – tweaking the navy, adding an olive and antique cream – to make it elegant but really useable in print and digital.

These considered elements of colour, image, and type combine to create a luxurious brand.

The brand was rolled out piece by piece, ensuring the internal team were equipped with the assets and tools they'd need.

Now, JW&S can present an immaculate and compelling story, every time.

“We have grown a lot internally with bootstrap marketing and teaching ourselves as we go.  Hooey has brought a high end polished feel to all of our visuals and content that we produce in house and share with the world, really elevating our brand. You produce great work, and are a pleasure to work with.”
