The start-up therapy brand guided by mother nature

WildKin is different to the usual swathes of corduroys and pearls. Inspired by mother nature and her lessons, WildKin provides a safe haven for individuals and groups to flourish, through talking therapy and nature walks.

Founder Dom engaged Hooey to name, brand and launch the business online.

We loved the ‘green thread’ that runs through all of Dom's therapy work. So we took ‘wild’ + 'kin' to represent the concept of family to devise the company name, WildKin. 

From here, we created a modern and unexpected visual identity for the brand, with a palette inspired by nature’s brightest delights. 

A simple wordmark is supported by a library of shapes that come to represent different ideas, all with a related movement that can feel calm, invigorating, challenging or inspiring. 

At Hooey we like to provide start-ups like WildKin with a whole system of visual elements – inspired directly by their brand strategy – to give them stand-out from the get go. Tone of voice, motion, templates, and guidelines form the master kit that helps you communicate clearly and coherently at every touchpoint. 

Ahead of launch we rolled the brand out to social profiles and a grid of 'permanent' images, meaning they have a social presence but no requirement to constantly update content. 

We planned, designed and built a website on a lean budget by utilising Squarespace, which is just right for now and allows WildKin to bloom into the world.
